Does checkn sound like a good name?

I've been brainstorming for names for the product I'm building. It's an app that checks in with you every day. The app sends you a different text message each day and you can reply back as much as you'd like.

One name that seems intriguing is checkn.

  • It's short.
  • It has a spelling mistake, but maybe that's remarkable.
  • A domain I like is available.
  • It's a play on "check in".
  • However, it would be hard to explain e.g. "No, it's check and the letter N, not check in."

Thoughts?

For me It's sound difficult to pronounce. Suggestions: checkiin.io 👈 is available (instead of dropping one, I added one i)

Thanks for the idea. I’ll play around with that.

I would be somewhat concerned about the name being a little basic and forgettable. I think someone else commented a couple of ideas for what the name could relate to.

Got it, thanks for sharing that opinion about it being forgettable. Back to the drawing board!

It reminds me of Foursquare/Swarm's location check ins.

Maybe something related to 'diary', 'journal', 'log', 'memories', etc. would be better suited?

Good luck finding a name that you love!

I’d like to avoid diary or journal, if possible. However, there’s something to explore with log or memories. Thank you.

I understand your points. However, when I look at it and say it in my head, it sounds like "Chicken" 🐔

But maybe that's just me 😅

I suggest creating a poll on what Indiehackers think about it.

It seems like “forgettable” is a common opinion. Thanks for sharing that thought. Really appreciate it.
