Does it make sense to add a founder's photo and bio onto the landing page?

I've recently launched a web application for online marriages with a very limited landing page. Now I'm extending the language page with more information to make the product more appealing and the value it gives clearer.

I'm thinking about adding my photo onto the landing page with a short bio to develop more trust. My app is powered by blockchain, and with the latest news in the industry, it may make sense to be more transparent and human.

What do you think?

    Definitely.
Adding your photo and story adds truthfulness to the story of your boostrapped product journey!

    Keep it simple:

    • Who you are
    • Why you're building it
    • A call to action to try your product

Awesome. Thank you for the bullet points. Will use them

Generally speaking, I like the idea. People love stories and especially for startups, it's generally a good idea to tell the story behind the product. Who are you and why you decided to do this. Of course, there are some dos and don'ts about it, but it's not really easy to say much more without seeing it. I'd suggest you add that to your landing page and then post it for us to have a review.
