Does it matter if someone else is already doing it? Why?
by

I just wanna hear your thoughts.
nope.
Hi @daajust,
IMHO it matters ONLY from a competitor perspective (to keep an eye on their pricing models majorly) and definitely NOT from an idea perspective.
That makes sense.
Don't pretend to be the ONLY one doing something - it's very likely there's someone already doing it. We live a in world full of competition and that should not put us off.
Good luck with whatever you are building!
It can be a good thing! Maybe it demonstrates that there is a market/demand for the product or service you're thinking of offering. It might also give you a head start in understanding the market and your competition so that you can identify areas where perhaps you can pivot or execute better than the rest.
There are 7 billion people in the world! So - nope :)
Yes, it means you're not crazy and the idea has merit. Does it matter if someone else is selling pizza? selling hamburgers? driving a taxi? being a barber? Selling real estate? For pretty much any job out there, people start exactly the same things as others without thinking about it, yet when it comes to software, folks worry about if other's are doing the same thing. It doesn't matter! Do it!
Interesting thought. As in Uber vs Lyft vs Taxify vs [whatever taxi app].
If you are going to create something that matches something else feature to feature, platform to platform, price to price, then I do think it's kinda pointless.
If your product improves in any way over existing product then it might be worth doing.
ALl the best!
Lol, of course.
Does it matter if someone deliver a message from point A to point B?
