I'm shipping 12 apps in 12 months as apart of a challenge for myself. I have an idea for a game for April. Curious what anyone thinks of the idea/virality of it.
Has anyone ever heard of the birthday paradox/problem?
Essentially if you have 23 people in a room there’s over a 50% chance that 2 people will share a bday.
Most underestimate 23.
You’re able to host a party with yourself and a couple of friends by providing the names and birthdays.
Without knowing their bday you then start inviting celebrities to your party.
If at any point in time 2 people at the party share a bday the game/party is over.
Along the way you’d see your party count, % chance the next person busts it, who’s at your party, etc.
I think there could be some fun vitality behind it by creating a share image with the celebrity who busted the party and suggesting you tweet at them.
Imagine Elon was the one who busted the party. It creates a share image about how you had 89 people at your party but Elon broke it up by sharing a bday with insert other celebrity. What the heck Elon!!
You can play the game again by watching a quick ad, tweeting at person, or paying $1 (unlimited games after $1).
