Does my idea have potential? AI Portfolio Writer for Designers

Hey everyone!

I'm expanding on copytoast which is an AI writing platform to make it easier for designers to write case studies for their portfolio. Similar products in the market only focus on the visual aspect like SquareSpace rather than the storytelling aspect.

I initially built this platform to help my friends transition into UI/UX design, but I'm not sure if it's worth expanding to all designers. I would love to get your thoughts and feedback on this idea.

Do you think this is a problem that other designers would be willing to use (and even pay for)?

Been in Micro SaaS for some time.

Might upset you. But I think you will have a hard time finding designers to pay for something like this.

'Designers to write case studies for their portfolio' is not something that's done everyday by designers. So, it may not have any recurring value.

The product not having recurring value was my concern too so growth will probably be capped. I appreciate the feedback!

Seems like a cool idea, but I have a couple of concerns.
In my opinion, the text it produces is a bit too high level, which affects its readability.
When writing content for a website(case studies in your case) it is generally best to keep it at around 8th grade reading level.

For example, "The lack of a design system can impede the ability to uphold design uniformity within a product" is a perfectly fine sentence, but very complex and definitely way above 8th grade.

Try putting it into this website and you'll understand what I mean: https://app.readable.com/text/?demo

Too risky as business. Not much designers write case studies and the ones who do, they do it with a very professional and technical expertise. A thing that human designers possess.

I don't think that AI can beat that up. Not yet at least.

You can however try to pivot the product. Instead of writing case studies in whole, maybe you can provide research, data analysis, and formatting support on a giving subject.

    Good luck!
