Hey indies,
Meta images are a friendly preview of your website/product that embeds into Twitter, Facebook, Reddit, even Slack or Discord. The difference to having a crappy open graph image can cause you to not obtain the leads, the visits or the curiosity of your users!
GitHub improved their meta-image and explained how here: https://github.blog/2021-06-22-framework-building-open-graph-images
I create a micro SaaS to generate those meta images dynamically:
I currently am live to our first customer: thegpbox.com and their template for products looks like that:
I want to improve the meta images of all SaaS products that don't want to implement their image-as-a-service solution in-house, but I want to facilitate the small e-commerce that wants to have their products rendered as well and the blogger who wants their titles to look nice on Twitter.
If you are one of those, please ask me any questions or any doubt here or in DMs, happy to answer anything.
I'm currently building the landing page (https://metaimg.net) where you can play with the simplest design and the docs.
It will help me insanely to talk to some interested hackers from here :)
I would love to use this. I am very big on sharing pages with OG images. On my site, artist's and listing pages should be custom. How can I implement this on my site with my developers?
Hey, I would love to chat with you. I'm releasing a few templates that might work perfectly for a marketplace (I believe you own one!)
I will message you!
