Does your product rely on (or pair with) another?

I'm always wary of building recurring/subscription-based products on top of platforms you don't control. You're liable to have the rug pulled out from under you at any moment for a variety of reasons. Even being on the Apple App Store/Google Play Store stresses me out some times.

I know someone who worked for Stackla (corporate marketing integration for social media), and one day Facebook decided to revoke their API access. Years of work and millions of dollars of investment disappeared, basically overnight.

It was restored under threat of lawsuit a few months later, but I'm not sure how much it affected their business long term.

Dogger relies on Docker, but I don't see that going away any time soon.

Pull Dog relies on GitHub, and that's pretty much the same.

And if they change, it's not hard for me to adapt.

Yes , voiceduck.com relies on Alexa , Google and Samsung Bixby in seperate forms because we create voice apps for those platforms . Sometimes I feel it could be risky but then again they do want people to add to the voice app ecosystem .

Yes, my Indie Hackers client relies on IH (obivously) and yes I consider it a risk but a risk I'm okay with taking.
