Dogfooding concept in practice

TL;DR This is probably the most useless post you'll read this week byt anyway I wanted to share.

Yesterday we started doing small batch of cold emailing. We didn't set up any tools for that as this was just an experiment. All I did was started using my own tool Filly for remembering template subject/content. This tool was clearly created for devs and testers not for marketing stuff.

So I started sending emails using it from outlook's web UI. After some time I refreshed outlook and forms were gone. I realized that refresh changed URL of outlook from outlook.office.com into outlook.office365.com (don't know why). Filly gives you form based on URL, so that's why they were gone.
So here when another feature of my tool came to the rescue - and I've never imagined this feature can be used for anything except web development. I mapped one domain into the other in the Filly's UI. And after a second I have my templates back in outlook.

Yep seems stupid, but this is kind of stuff that makes me super happy because I validate some use cases in a real scenarios.
