Doing a Black Friday sale for your own product? Post it here!

A lot of indie hackers try to jump on the Black Friday band wagon so let's post discounts on our own products here. πŸ˜„

Please post:

  1. What the product is and the deal
  2. What choices and thoughts you went through in picking what kind of deal to run

  1. 1

    There's a Deals group :)

  2. 1

    I'll start then. πŸ˜„

    1. I'm offering 30% off the first year of yearly plans for Checkbot for Chrome: https://www.checkbot.io/

Checkbot is a Chrome extension that tests 100s of pages at a time for web best practices to help you improve the SEO, speed and security of your site. It has a 4.9/5 average review score with 30K users. There's a free version, so you can quickly give it a go on your own product website first to see what suggestions you get.

    1. I run monthly and yearly plans. I went with discounting only the yearly because I think discounting the monthly will attract the wrong customers. I went with 30% off the first year of the yearly plan only instead of a lifetime deal to hopefully get a better recurring revenue out of it.

When setting this up though, I realised this made explaining the deal quite complex (e.g. how the total per year compares with the monthly deal). After a lot of different attempts, I think the pricing page + top banner explains it clear enough now, but let me know what you think: https://www.checkbot.io/#pricing
