Domain names with trademarks?
This is just a silly example to illustrate my question...
Let's say you buy nikebeans.com, you haven't done anything with it yet, you just own the domain. Sometime down the road someone at nike wakes up and decides hey lets get into the bean business. They try to get nikebeans.com and it's taken. Assuming you would be willing to part with it, would they offer money for it or could they say something like "hey the word nike is in your domain so we're just gonna go ahead and take that, thanks and have a nice day."?
I wouldn't waste your time or money cybersquatting. The chances they want a random domain like that are slim, and in reality, trademark law would swoop that right from you.
Not a lawyer, but have a slightly similar case. Zomato was long back launched as foodiebay. Ebay had issues with it, as it sounded similar and had sent a legal notice to them. Luckily for them they already had plans to change the name, after the VCs came in.
