We're all directly involved in the product we're building. We pour blood sweat and tears into making our idea come to life. In many ways, it is an extension of ourselves. We often get caught up on how cool or how innovative we think our idea is.
But the truth is, no one cares.
If we want to make an impact on people's lives, we have to stop focusing on what we're building, and instead make it all about the problem we're trying to solve.
Second this. I heard from multiple VCs while listening in on rooms on Clubhouse that founders need to “fall in love with their problem.”
