Download Home - Chrome Extension Feedback

Here's a link to the Chrome App Store page for Download Home: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/download-home/pngacbobadjcnchaceffkhnkhmefkadi

I would love feedback on the following:

  1. the copy - does the value proposition make sense? Is it easy to understand?
  2. the images - does it help you see the flow of how it works?
  3. what's missing - is there anything you're thinking like, "You didn't talk about this, and so I don't want to use this"?

If you can also try it out, that would be great. It's a first release.

I wrote this Chrome extension for personal use - I think this is for the browser user who downloads files a lot and lets things sit in the Downloads folder. I do that, and then I'll forget why I downloaded the file and where I got it from.

Thank you for the thoughts - really appreciate it!

And that's it! Make sure to thank people who take the time to respond to you.

The first thing I see is the screenshot, and it doesn't look good. The red font with with outline effect looks especially bad.

All the three screenshots look visually bad, and after viewing them, I still don't understand what your extension exactly does.

The text copy explains the product fairly well, but I feel like you are just repeating things after the two first sentences.

Thanks for the thoughts about the screenshot. I'm using Xnapper since I already had it and didn't realize it couldn't update fonts (?!). Do you have any suggestions for a better desktop screenshot tool?

For the text copy, you're also right. But I think it's a format that I saw others following because of how copy is laid out when on the search page vs the mobile vs browser. First line super-short summary, then the rest. But I get what you are saying - I personally get annoyed when things are redundant, too.

Thank you again - really appreciate it! If you try the app, let me know of any issues please!
