Drag and Drop API Builder

Hello all,

I am thinking of building a drag and drop API Builder that would be able to build APIs ranging from data manipulation, data wrangling, machine learning, etc. It would essentially be a drag and drop version of R and/or Python with a push to production part that makes setting up an API seamless.

How much interest is out there for this I've been building APIs for my companies and then utilizing no code tools to build the front end and thought, wow if there was just a no code API Builder, that would be it and I'll never have to code again.

Just let me know!

Best,
Joe

Not exactly but somewhat similar. It would essentially be it's own visual programming language giving you much more ability and flexibility to build APIs and data mangling/machine learning algorithms without code.

It would also have API deployment built in so you can deploy with a few clicks (ideally). Is this something you see of use?

Yeah, I agree. There are lot of platforms including tray.io that can help citizen integrators connect to other established platforms API. What is not there is a simple descriptive way to create and host an API. FOr e.g. I will upload a swagger spec and automatically the API end points, the backend DBs etc. everything would be automatically provisioned and my API is ready to go, i.e. my apps and web services can now call the API.

I am curious if you made any progress on this idea further?

I think I have a good concept how to Develop one with high Performance and as a Cloud Service. I would need some help with it tho. Especially GO devs

I am also thinking of building open-source like https://mockapi.io with much more functionality and with reliability using it in production env.
