Hello fellow indiehackers,
I'm building a small web app called Dream Job Notifier. I think the name itself is pretty self-explanatory.
My assumption is that a lot of people, regardless of currently employed or not, have a few "dream jobs" from certain companies they really believe in. Often these ideal positions could be filled before you even notice.
So, Dream Job Notifier monitors job openings of your dream companies and notify you when a suitable position opens up.
What do you think about this product?
I've also made a prelaunch landing page (not product landing page) to test the idea.
Appreciate any feedback! Thank you in advance!
John, I like this idea. Solves a problem for me personally. Can you select what type of role you'd be looking for at these companies? That'd be even more useful, so I wouldn't have to sift through irrelevant roles.
Thanks for the reply @alexrosier !
To your question, absolutely, that's one of the key features, even in MVP.
Hope to get more feedback from you once we launch! :)
I think this is a great idea. Go for it!
Thanks for the encouraging words, John! A more informative landing page is coming soon! :D
Good luck with Hello Next App too! I've been meaning to learn more about production level serverless structure. Can't wait to read more!
Yes, I have a short-list of companies that I might consider working for, and not all of them have openings all the time. For non high-growth companies, it's worth searching for.
Thanks for the reply! Was my web copy clear and on-point to you?
That's like the brightest page I've ever seen.
Fellas, put on your sunglasses before you click on that link.
That aside. It looks like a good idea. But I also know that almost all the companies I desire to be in have a opening for the position I'd could work at. 99% times it's just they don't want me xD
Question is how often do you come across the bummer of not having your dream job open?
(Maybe I don't have a dream job, a am too flexible for any company that's cool. Maybe. Would love to hear other as well)
Sorry for the brightness. I just picked one of the default Carrd templates. >_<
And thanks for the feedback! I actually had this problem before, and that's how I came up with it in the first place.
