Hi IH community!
I'm a growth newbie for our AI company and have run out of idea on how to drive traffic to our website.
We currently don't have a revenue model so we thought we can't sustain paid advertisement, so we hoped we could get traffic through organic means. Such as:
Now, I'm wondering if it's still possible to improve traffic without resorting to paid ads? If so, how do you guys do it? Is there anything wrong with our website (https://maestrolabs.com/)? Anything we can do to improve?
Alex, have you considered cold emailing? It's an effective way to drive targeted traffic and schedule demo calls. Here's my approach:
1- Purchase domains similar to your primary domain from GoDaddy (e.g., www.maestrolabs.io).
2- Create two emails per domain using Outlook or Gmail.
3- Warm up the emails with Instantly.ai to avoid spam filters for a total of two weeks.
4- Use apollo.io to extract 10,000 leads matching your ICP.
5- Verify the email validity with ZeroBounce.
6- Craft an email sequence on Instantly using the three Cs framework (Compliment, case study, call to action) and personalize using AI tools like WriteCream or Copy.ai.
7- Upload the leads to Instantly and automate outreach (start with 20 per day, gradually increase).
You can also refer to our guide for best practices.

I appreciate this, Saadoon! We haven't tried cold emailing yet, main factor is because we have no idea how to. But thanks to your advice (with actionable step items), we're definitely giving it a try!
Would you roughly know how much budget would it cost us for cold emailing?
Well, I am confident that the guide will help you get started! Good luck!
How long did you spend on each of those bullet points?
Hey there!
Adding a blog that acts as an active, effective, professional and professional platform on your commercial website and You should be interested in providing diverse, organized, and high-quality content that adds value to your website visitors, as this contributes to the ranking of your site in search results, and thus increases traffic to your website.
Appreciate this, sensaa!
Hey Alexander, I would say that gaining followers and engagement on LinkedIn is easier than on Twitter but even for that it takes time. You'll have to be very consistent with your posting and it's always better if you're adding an image or a video with the content.
You can also try platforms like Product Hunt, we tend to get a lot of traffic from there, We also recently received the Golden Kitty Award for ruttl. This win gave us a huge push in terms of reach, traffic, followers count, etc.,
All the best!
That's amazing, thanks for sharing! Product Hunt's definitely on our radar. How did you prepare for your launch there? Broadcast it everywhere or does it promote itself in the platform?
Yeah, we kind of broadcasted it everywhere, starting with our existing network. We posted on social media to build anticipation and to request people to support our launch. Since we had our launch months after the product went live, we also had a user base so we requested them as well.
As far as I know, Product Hunt also provides paid services to promote your product but instead, I would suggest creating a teaser for your launch to showcase in the coming soon section.
this is gold, thank you for these advice, harshvijay!
Glad to be of help!
Hi Alex,
I don't have the knowledge to help you with SEO but personally, I would change the main video / gif on your page. This .gif is highly compressed and doesn't look very good and doesn't quite sell the product. I would probably go with a short 15-second intro video.
The rest of the page looks great! Good luck!
Michael, thanks for the feedback! Now that you mentioned it, you're right -- we need to work on that gif from our landing page especially since it's the first thing web visitors would see.
Hi Alex,
I suggest focusing on fewer channels at once.
If you want to do SEO right, it takes time. Just writing some blog posts, even with the right keywords, won't cut it anymore. You'll need to be more strategic about it and that takes time.
If you want to grow on LI and Twitter, you can't just post content. You'll need to engage with others too. Maybe you'll even have to pay a few people to promote /retweet your content.
If you want to continue with ads, make sure your landing pages and email funnels are optimised too.
Your website isn't bad but it's not wow either. I'm sure there are other similar services out there. What makes you different?
Get a demo is a terrible primary call to action. promote the free trial more if you want more users quickly. And reduce the friction for those new users. Make name and first name one field.
Can you wait with the final two questions and ask them at a later stage?
Finally, the logos should make people trust you. My first impression is that they're not real. Your product clearly isn't well-estbalished yet based on the website, so how did you get these users from companies like Microsoft, Maersk, HP ... Maybe add some case studies to give it more credibility.
Sorry for all the rambling. Feel free to connect with me on Twitter (kjellvdv) and I'll be more specific if you have any questions.
Hey kjellvdv, thank you for the brutally honest feedback! Not rambling at all, I think these all are solid points which will def help us shape our flow better. I especially appreciate the points around removing friction for new users!
Write several blog articles for SEO (fail, no one's visiting from there)
Saw some your recent posts that are on NLP/GPT which your users may not be interested. But when you says no one visiting - How many backlinks did you build from authority sites?
Twitter (fail, couldn't even get past 50 impressions per tweet)
Again, Twitter is not a one-time play. It takes months to build traction Twitter in most cases.
Google ads/Bing ads (fail, spent a few $ and burned budget but didn't get any visitors, didn't try again)
Not sure if Bing/Google has CPM based ads. If its CPC, not sure how you lost money when there are no visitors.
LinkedIn (fail, can't manage to grow followers and couldn't get much engagement with our linkedin posts)
Again, LinkedIn is not a one-time play. It takes months to build traction Twitter in most cases.
Probably you should also checkout trying LTDs witH AppSumo or similar players.
Thanks, upenv!
Good point re: our posts. Starting to realize we may have mixed up our target personas (professionals/employees) with users who are just interested with anything about AI. For the backlinks, unfortunately, we haven't been building this from authority sites simply because we have no idea where to start. Would you be able to drop some recommendations?
Twitter and LinkedIn - Got it, so looks like we over expected a lot from this social channel with just a month of tweeting. Will definitely give it a go!
Totally can do it: https://plausible.io/dayquest.carrd.co?period=month
I think the "easiest way" is to think in personas and find where those personas hang out. Initially it'll be hard because you don't know who will care, but as you start marketing you'll learn more about who resonates with your project.
My advice would be to start with reddit and twitter then be patient. Based on what you're saying:
SEO | Didn't work? but it can take 6-9 month to rank even for someone who knows what they're doing depending on the keywords
Twitter | Didn't work? Who cares about impressions those are vanity metrics all that matters are engagements and clicks but anyway these numbers only go up as your following goes up (not entirely true but not counting "viral" posts, basically true)
Ads | I'm just going to say nope XD
LinkedIn | Didn't work?? but what's your real goal?
I think one thing that may be happening is your confusing "vanity" metrics with "real" metrics.
At the end of the day there's very few metrics that sincerely matter . I've started using AARRR pirate metrics and this has helped me streamline my business as a whole:
https://fourweekmba.com/pirate-metrics/
Essentially:
Awareness - But what does this really mean? In my mind this usually means clicks or even better meetings held (which LinkedIn is great for but only 1-10 people out of 100 will probably give a meeting)
Activation - Depending on your stage this could mean email sub or user (no matter what though you're probably getting their email)
Retention - How do you nurture people who become activated? (this is where emails and blogs come really in handy | however there are blogs that are focused on keywords which can be used as content pieces for awareness plus have email list fields for awareness [this is part of why blogging is really good])
Revenue - How do you make money?
Referrals - How do people share the application/product with their friends (innate virality is the best virality).
My recommendation:
A huge problem is when people first start marketing they imagine people flocking to their idea but that's not how it goes most of the time (and usually when it goes like this the person put in a lot of work either before or in stealth to get it to look like this on purpose)
If you need a faster way to help make content for marketing I'm currently working on a new AI that'll ease the educational content development process (a great strategy for building awareness): https://newaiforlearning.com/
Hope this response helps!
Thanks for the thorough response, Vintually! Have signed up to your waitlist. :)
TBH, i didn't know SEO could take 6-9months to rank. This newfound knowledge puts us in perspective that we may have expected too much from this particular channel so early.
I appreciate the articles you have attached, definitely worth reading and will get into AARRR metrics and see how we can restructure our current goals and efforts!
Thanks for joining! Also glad I was able to provide some insight :)
