I need your help! I'm writing a book called 'The complete guide to landing page optimisation'

• Inline forms vs not (my opinion is do it if you can, less steps)
• Links and menus to home page vs not (I like leaving home page, but no other menus)
• how it should relate to your home page / branding / style (I say it doesn't have to as this is a place to experiment and can use different font, images.. style... just same logo)
• Social proof will have testimonials in it? what about "as seen in" or logos for integrations. I've also heard this called "Trust Symbols"

Here are some suggestions I have:

1. Not sure if this would go under 2. Landing page basics, but something I struggle with is knowing what to place in the header vs. the footer. (things like “About”, “Contact”, etc.).

2. Mobile Responsiveness

3. Someone else mentioned videos — I think optimizing videos/gifs + video hosting solutions would be helpful too!

4. Not sure if you’re thinking about making this guide more technical, but if you are, I would recommend speaking about performance:

   1. Tips to reduce the size of your page (gzip)
   2. Using a content delivery network to make your landing page more available/performant globally

Pop ups and "leaving page" alerts

I think a consistent design is also crucial in user experience.
What about newsletter signups?
