Hello hackers 🤩, I am working on an application and would want validation on the idea.
The application makes it very easy to view an entire timespan for a project along with the tasks. You can add tasks, add subtasks and add subtasks to that( and so on), and you will be able to track them on a timeline like a gantt chart. 📈
The core features are
- View the project tasks on a timeline
- Assign members to it and see how far their allocations are across multiple projects.
- Have the member's hourly rates, leaves and company holidays into the team so the project estimation is done automatically based on the tasks.
- Add integration from Asana, Trello, Gitlab, Github to import tasks and track them.
- Create an invoice/payout for the member's work done.
I would love any feedback on the idea and hope to make it better. 😊🎉

This look really pretty and I'm sure a lot of people would use it if it worked as expected. However, there are a lot of competing projects, so I would suggest finding a niche.
One product that's been in development for years is called onroadmap.com. I just signed up to that service for a year because I liked the UI/UX so much! I'd recommend checking them out and copying some of their features.
Another one is ZenKit, which I'm currently trying out. It gives you a lot of different views of the same data, so you can plot your todos as a gantt chart or even drag them to a calendar.
I wish you lots of luck — I think if you can differentiate yourself from the products above in some key ways, you'll find success. There are a lot of freelancers who'd love something like this, so if you market exclusively to them it could work.
On a related note, I just let itstimeline.com expire recently, so you can pick it up if you want. Also timelineco.com and justintimeline.com are available :)
Wow thanks a lot for that. I know about Roadmap tool. Its almost pretty similar. I wanted to focus on remote working and freelancers and the project managers to handle the project. I have used Zenkit (and pretty much every other tool there in the domain 🤷) but didnt see the timeline to work as I want with the UX. Either the timeline is too pricey for my use or its not easy.
That is why I wanted to add the invoicing directly from the tasks as an option too. Plus there are few other features as well to be added.
I want this product to be worthwhile for small startups to manage their remote or work from one single portal. Not one for estimating, one for tracking projects flow, and other for accounting. 😊
