[Early users needed!] What if Gmail could sort itself?

Hey community,

I've been working on Hey Help (https://heyhelp.ai) - an AI assistant in Gmail that tackles inbox admin tasks.

We recently asked our early access users what takes up the most time in their inboxes. The results surprised us: less than 1 in 5 people said they spend the most time actually replying to emails.

The real time sink? Just figuring out what needs their attention. Here's what they said:

📂 Sorting (labeling/archiving): 27%
🧩 Looking for action items: 21%
✍️ Typing responses: 18%
🔁 Following up: 15%
📖 Digesting long threads: 6%
🔍 Searching for info: 6%
🧠 Other: 6%

I realized people don't drown in emails. They drown in decisions about what to do with them. Archive? Reply now? Delegate? Flag for later?

That’s the invisible task nobody talks about. And that's the burden we want Hey Help to lift.

I'd love your feedback. Specifically:

  • What takes up most of your time in your inbox?
  • We’re looking for early adopters—if you’re up for trying it out and sharing your thoughts, let me know.

Best,
