Easiest way to make this product image animated?

I am working on a new landing page for my app dailytimetracking.com. Part of that page will be a product image.

However it's static and I would like to make it animated, with a short movie (~5 sec) playing in the magnifying glass. What free/inexpensive software would you recommend me to use, that does not require a steep learning curve?

    Thanks all. The question is more what tool to use after I recorded the screen (I personally use GIPHY Capture for this). Like I said, I need to edit the video somehow to fit (part of the) recording into the attached image as I need the video to play in the magnifying glass.

    also cloudapp is free for up to 15 seconds, and it generates gifs

    Hi Niels,
    I use QuickTime to record my screen on a mac.
    Also, I see a lot of people using https://www.loom.com/
    Hope this helps,
