Easiest way to show a list of locations online?

I want to make a site where I show some places on the map.. then you can see some details of the location either on hover, click oen on another page doesnt matter oo much.

The basic idea, is for example a map, where you can add locations, and add some extra details about the location, some text and some pictures.

Is there a ready solution to do something like this? maybe wordpress + someplugins... or something else? dont wanna code it, something easy to use, ready and cheap would be great.
