Easing Eye Strain with a Simple Chrome Extension for Indie Hackers

Hey everyone! πŸ‘‹

I've got something to share with you all. I recently put together a super simple Chrome extension that's been a game-changer for me, and I think it might help some of you too.

If you're anything like me, reading on dark mode websites can be a bit of a struggle. My eyes would start feeling sore after just a few minutes on IndieHackers, which was super frustrating because I love the content and I'm browsing the website several times per day.

Turns out, this is a common issue for folks with astigmatism – and yes, I'm one of those people. So, I decided to take matters into my own hands and created an extension that makes reading on IndieHackers (and potentially other sites) way more comfortable. It's nothing fancy at all, but it does the job!

I haven't published it anywhere yet, as I just made it for my personal use initially. But if anyone else finds themselves squinting at their screen and would like to give it a try, I'd be more than happy to share the source code with you.

I really hope this can help someone else as much as it's helped me.

Happy reading, and take care of those eyes! 😊
