Eating our own dog food.

Hey,

Just a thought... how many of us use products from other IH hackers in the community in our own projects? Getting customers is hard... but theres a ready pool of potential customers right here in our backyard.

Oh and of course a shameless plug... checkout BankPayments.net if you're a UK or Ireland IH :)

Cheers

I think lots of makers here should be reading or already use @harrydry 's Marketing Examples and @bentossell 's Makerpad.
There are also things like polls/forms and maker widgets that I've seen lots of people use on their websites and some of them come from here.
And A LOT of products here target entrepreneurs and businesses specifically. So I think the main reason most of use don't use much of them should lack of time to get to know these products. Another reason is that there's only that much stuff that you can add on your website before it gets too complicated to users.

Wow that's a cool idea, also signed up. When Wrenches is good enough it will make sense to share it with them ...

I use LeaveMeAlone.App but I heard it somewhere else, but they are here on IndieHackers.

Definitely pay lots of attention to @harrydry, I also use Sizzy by @kitze pretty much daily in my frontend dev work, it's a real timesaver.

Thanks a lot Matt! Brightened up my day reading that :)

Thats cool! When you're adding a payments flow to your website consider https://www.bankpayments.net. Base pricing is more competitive than PayPal and even Stripe. And I'm sure we can do you a deal on the monthly fees as well :)

If you just have questions to see if BankPayments.net is right for you. Give me a shout or use the chat widget on our website. Also, if we're not right for you, let us know why. Any feedback is appreciated.

      Cheers

Oh and to kick this off I'm looking for a website chat widget similar to Zendesk chat. We integrated Zendesk chat yesterday into our BankPayments.net website and its working well. But willing to switch to an IH product if its easy to use and has competitive pricing (free is always good. I'm half-kidding but you know what I mean :))

    Requirements:

    1. Chat widget on website
    2. Triggers - where you can set rules to automatically popup a chat to a user (for example if they are loitering on the site for 30 secs)
    3. Have an Android app where I can respond to chats on the move.

    If thats your product, HMU.

    Cheers.

I found MailMeteor through IH which I'm using to run my own email campaigns, and if anyone is interested I'm offering a spreadsheet with 1000 recently launched projects here https://launchpropeller.com/#/spreadsheets (which I'm using for my own mail campaigns too).
