I could imagine that building a following somewhere (e.g. on Medium as a good writer, or Twitter) would work. Test the waters first, then upsell with your ebook. Alternatively, Facebook ads to a specific niche could work - but watch out that's advertising in that niche is not too expensive beforehand!
Yep, following definitely is a big plus. I am thinking of strategies without following. I am sure hands on marketers knows how to ace that in more than one ways. Ads is on my list too
