Having spent several years now engrossed in the eCommerce space operating several sites of my own and for clients through my marketing agency I have noticed that one aspect of the experience that is very painful. I haven't come across a good enough solution to solve being able to list and sell products multichannel that isn't a full blown PIM (Product Information Management). This software is aimed at enterprise customers and is priced accordingly normally starting at ~$25k upwards.
I know there are a several tools out there (https://deliverr.com/blog/multi-channel-listing-software/) and I have tired and tested quite a few of them. Sellers that are starting out or scaling ($0-$5m) having a multichannel listing tool that integrates with multiple OMS (Order Management Software) or ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems means you'll have less headaches as you wont have to replatform or change tools as you grow. The above tools don't fit the bill when it comes to this as they don't either intergrate with these inventory systems or only one of them. The other problems with a few of the other tools is that they either have very poor UX and or their pricing model is limiting due to charging based on revenue the store generates.
I can definitely see an opportunity here that came be taken advantage of, I know it is also a big project should it be undertaken though. The great thing is that from an acquisition perspective you just look to partner up with the OMS and ERP platforms as they have actively stayed out of developing this aspect of their software.
Looking towards the future the pricing point of this software would be in the $100s if not potentially $1,000s so could provide enough resources to scale. Further to the partnerships for acquisition you could also look to do outbound sales thorough technology look ups.
I'd love to help work on this project should there be any talented devs passionate about eCommerce please reach out to me. I'd be be able to help with the ops, marketing and business development.
