As a freelance marketing specialist for various e-commerce stores, I really struggled to find Shopify apps that actually work. Hence, taking time to share with you marketers, e-commerce junkies, and store owners some tips and apps which I swear by (they have really saved my *** and my $$ with clients!!)
1- APPS CAN GET EXPENSIVE! Psychologically, the apps simply cost 9.99 a month or 5.99 a month. But when you will need 10+ of them to solve your problems, your bills will be a whooping much! Hence, always look for apps that have a free version. If they deliver as a promise, then upgrade based on your need.
2- REALLY TRY TADA: I needed to create pop-ups that are appealing to build the subscriber base and hence came across this app on the Shopify app store. I gave it a try as it outright promised 35% increase in sales and 500% increase in subscribers (and had a free version!!!). It is money well spent and I use this app for almost all my stores. It is a 1 stop app for all you will need for top and middle funnel marketing - gamified pop-ups, discount codes, countdown timer, and native integrations, and super easy to use. Try it out and thank me later.
3- SIGN UP FOR PARTNER PROGRAMS: Little hack to make those extra $$ for the freelancers and multiple store owners out there- when you decide to use an app, sign up for their partner program first, and use your link to sign up to your new stores. You will earn extra $$. If you are a freelancer like myself, it will be a substantial amount trust me.
4- AB TESTING IS KEY: I use it all the time to make better design and copy decisions and also show my clients a better picture of what's happening (it is a savior when your client and you have different ideas and you both can test it out). I use Shogun for most of my stores and really recommend it!
Honest tips and recommendations for you all. Please also share some other tips that worked well for you, will really appreciate it a ton!
