eCommerce sites - Firebase and Shopify?
Does anyone run a commerce site that uses both of these? If so, what parts of Shopify do you use and what parts of Firebase do you use?

I worked with Shopify and it's Good for e-commerce but if you want flexibility then you can go for firebase. Custom Code & Shopify both are Different. It Totally Depend on your use case.
Agreed, depends on the use case. Ideally, you'd want to stick to one platform, but if one doesn't suit your needs fully, it's not impossible to use both.
Luckily You can go for both because Shopify launched a framework for React. Which Will give more flexibility also you an integrate firebase too. Hydrogen By Shopify is a framework used in React.js with firebase and Shopify.
