If you've tried using EKS or other managed Kubernetes platforms native to the cloud provider, you know how the story goes. It's easy to set up and use, but there's not much consideration to how much will it all cost. What we've built at CAST AI is a platform that both analyzes and optimizes your compute resources on EKS clusters. The process goes like this:
You connect your EKS cluster with read-only permissions
CAST AI delivers you a free savings report with suggestions for cost savings
You decide if the numbers make sense and either enable the automatic optimization with CAST AI or implement them on your own. The savings are usually 50% and up if you're spending at least somewhere around 4 figures on the cloud bill. Feel free to check the platform - analyzer is free and optimizer also has a free trial https://cast.ai/eks-optimizer/
what's about GKE?
Ive never tried EKS, but I have this need with ECS... would you recommend using EKS instead of ECS (Fargate)... ? I'm not sure if they are interchangeable
