what is an email list?

it's a group of email addresses of which you can reach everybody at the same time by sending one email to the list's email address.

how is it different from sending an email to a bunch of addresses?

the group can shrink and grow regardless of the email list everybody of that group manages themselves. people can be removed and added without having to notify everybody else to update their address books.

anything else?

you can have public groups which will forward all emails from any sender -- not just the group members. an email list also can expire.

how about privacy?

• bubble forwards emails to a list's addresses. emails are stored on the server for the time of processing and delivery.
• signup is encrypted. i will see your email address only after you confirm your signup.
• creating a list with recipients notifies the group members via that email and gives them a chance to confirm or deny their membership.

i've been working on this on and off for more than 6 months now. still not happy with it but i guess i'd never show it to anyone if i continue to just be dissatisfied with my work product.

i'll be thankful for anybody willing to be my guinea pig.
