Email Warmup experience

Hi there πŸ‘‹

Some time ago I came across the topic of email warmup and how important it can be while cold emailing.

  • What's your experience with such warmup tools?
  • Are they worth it?
  • Which tool can you suggest and why? (What functions are you maybe missing?)

Would love to dig more into that topic! ✌️

Thanks

Warmup is important if you're looking to do long-term cold emailing but only if you pick a good email tool. Most email warmup tools hurt you more than they help.

I've tested a few softwares so far and each of them has its pros and cons. But here are some things to look for when choosing warmup tools:

    1. Human-like Content: Is the content from the warmup tool relevant to what you do? Or even better, does it make actual sense? I've seen tools that send jibberish content that doesn't make any sense as part of their email warmup threads. I would think a software like that does more harm than good. Using some sort of AI in the tool would be great.

    2. Bounce control: How does the warmup tool handle bounces? If your email account is sending emails to bad email accounts then you're hurting your sender reputation, not improving it.

    3. Accuracy of send and engagement reports: Make sure to signup for a trial and check your sent folder to see if the # of email sends in the software matches the actual sends.

    4. Threaded replies - The email warmup tool should have threaded engagement to show a natural conversation between sender and recipient.

    5. Management of Bad Email Accounts - What does the software provider do with email accounts that have been blacklisted? If you're warming up your email by sending emails to a bunch of bad email addresses, then you're probably hurting your reputation instead.
