Have a great day!
Very cool! Would love some example pics thrown in (I'm more a visual learner)
Would have loved if you could touch on the prominence of red in logos - I could list a bunch. They sort of look like stop signs. I think it is because red is the color of blood, and psychologically (instinctively) we process seeing this color differently and pay closer attention to it for that reason.
Also I love the word choice - kinda like when you go to a fancy restaurant and order something on the menu it will be called something incredible even if it is made of common ingredients. I guess the developer analogy of this would be coding a CSS color as Light Coral instead of #F08080 (which one sounds better for your brand??). I think it might be worth noting, however, that in some cases -- black and silver, for example, the silver (unless it actually has some type of reflective element) is probably a shade of gray, in reality.
I sort of feel like you skipped over single color logos a bit, you did touch on emotional meaning but maybe some practical tangible examples or breakdowns like you did for combinations. Interesting topic - cheers!
