Entrepreneurs - Do you need an automation tool like this?

DataRetro

A tool that tells you where to write your next content.

A simple product which will tell the customers where people are talking about their keywords. For example, if there is a customer who deals with "Bitcoins", the product will let them as soon as some question was posted/answered/discussed on Quora related to Bitcoin. Similarly, if there is a thread gaining a lot of traction with a huge number of comments about "Bitcoins" in Hackernews, we will let the customer know so that they can chip in and write about the product. Basically, we will tell the customer where to write their content based on whats happening around their keywords in the last 24 hours.

The product also tells you how much time you can invest in answering a given post and how many visits you can expect from posting that content. (Something like

"You can answer this question in Quora by spending 10 minutes/writing a short answer with 60 words and this should give you around 60 highly targetted users in next 20 days"

    I'd be interested

Do you have a newsletter to be notified?

I have been thinking about something similar for private fb groups - but I have never come around to first try if it makes sense to invest the time as a meaningful marketing channel. If it would be updated however and I only have to check it once a day to leave 2-3 comments it might make sense to use it.

You could upsell a done for you service where you actually leave the comment too. Considering it is not spammy "look at my product" but can provide value too

We considered the upsell service where we can do a "not so spammy" comment with around 30-60 words instead of the customer actually answering the question. But for some reason, this is not our mission and it has its own issues and it doesnt look right for us to post the answers by ourselves.

So, what we are considering is a feature where the busy customers want to have an answer/comment composed for them for the selected Questions/Discussions/Posts. The final answer/comment should be done by the customer only.

Hope that helps. I will send you the invite shortly.

This sounds like a fun product! I'm not sure I would use it personally, but I can imagine it being useful to many of my clients in marketing departments.

An aside, here: my personal problem is rarely figuring out where people are talking about my keyword, but rather understanding what keywords to target at all. Is this something you could help with here? Perhaps it's not as common a problem for others?

      Linus,

Our product automatically picks the keywords from the website meta description or you can manually enter/change the keywords.

For most people who have already started working on something and are seeing decent traction, the problem is to find out where their keywords are being discussed.

But for people who have just started working on a product, it is often tough to find the right keywords.

Sure. I will shortly send you an invite and we can catch up offline for the right keywords for you.

Yeah. Sounds like a really interesting idea. I'm not sure I would pay for this, but I could definitely imagine social media specialists finding this very useful. Keep me posted if/when you launch. :-)

    Hi Jay,

This sounds like something I'd consider using. Content space research has been one of my most time-consuming tasks and I'd love to have a shortlist of places to checkout and then manually vet and filter down as the most appropriate spots to initiate conversations.

About the last point, where you plan to provide estimated reach - I'd say you need to be careful with that. This may set false expectations to your customers and having customers who don't see their expectations being met after performing an action is one of the worst things you can have, your retention and WOM marketing may seriously suffer as a result from that.

Good luck, I'll follow with interest!

      Thankyou Yasen.

      Suggestions noted.

We have been working on this for some time and we are implementing a couple of other features as well.

Yes, "Estimated Reach" is something we are working on. Because "Estimated Reach of your answer" ( total views of your answer/comment) is different from "Estimated Reach of your website".

Estimated Reach of your answer -> This is the total number of views you can get for your answer. This can be assessed based on the current data we have.

Estimated Reach of your website -> This depends on how good you have answered the question or commented on the post. This is how many people will reach to your website from your answer/comment.

But Yes, We got your point. I will send you the invite link shortly.

Glad I could help. And yes, I see how these two differ, I'd just make sure it's as clearly formulated as possible as to avoid confusing people (like I got it wrong). Waiting for the invites! :)

Thankyou. I also would like to let you know that another feature we are working on is to show you the SERP data analysis as well for the keywords. This data tells you if your site is coming up in Google Search results in top 10 pages when someone is searching with a specific Keyword. It will tell you the exact position/page where your site is coming up in search results in top 10 result pages.
