Equity for designing the MVP

Hi folks,

Looking to learn from builders/ designers who've built MVPs for founders Pre-Fundraise. The plan is to lead the design for the company post-fundraise, for a fixed monthly amount like a salary, but until then it's equity only. Has anyone had experience with this before? What are reasonable terms for equity to be valuable later on?
