Hey guys! My new site readlist.io is live and has almost 50 lists created! To thank everyone on Indie Hackers for your support and feedback, I've created an "Essential Reading List for Aspiring Indie Hackers" list with some suggestions for books that may help your journey.
I've seeded the list with 5 amazing books I think will really help you, but I'd also like this list to be a WIP together with you guys, so let me know what books I should add, and why, and I can feature you in the list.
Check it out here: https://readlist.io/dmathieu/essential-reading-list-for-aspiring-indie-hackers
Check out @levelsio book: MAKE.

Great book but afaik he doesn't sell it on Amazon. Definitely deserves to be added to the list though.
The Mom Test to learn how to sell and what’s more important how NOT to sell. 🙂
Thanks, I've never heard of that one! Added it to the list =)
You're welcome. In my opinion, it's a must-read before doing any enterprise sales.
I've also seen other IHs recommending it here.
A classic would be "4 Hour work week" by Tim Ferriss. Really just a book packed with tools on how to manage a business and automate everything.
Agreed! Adding it to the list, thanks!
What are the five books? If you share more value / info here where we are, you'll probably get more people checking out your site!
Hey Alchemist, thanks for your suggestion. My contributions to the list so far have been: Anything You Want by Derek Sivers, Show Your Work by Austin Kleon, Rework by Jason Fried and David Heinemeier Hansson, Tribes by Seth Godin, and Perennial Seller by Ryan Holiday. My reviews for each book are posted on the site. If you have any other suggestions for Readlist, I'd love to hear them!
Great list. I think "The Lean Startup" definetely should be there.
Good one! Ries also has a new book called The Startup Way that is supposedly really good. Have you read that one?
Nope, I'm gonna look it up.
I apologize up front for the self-promotion, but my wife and I published a book earlier this year called Becoming A Digital Marketer.
It has already sold quite well and is in the marketing curriculum for a few universities here in the US.

Just purchased, looks interesting. Thanks for the suggestion.
That's awesome that you published your own book! I'll add it to the list
