Estimate ad income based on competitor's website
Hi guys! I've found a website I would like to replicate and improve. This website has ads on it and I would like to estimate the traffic and possible earnings they have.
What methodologies do you use to estimate this?
I used a website to estimate visits and then and estimator for Adsense based on that number but it seems a little bit high to me. Or have I found a gold mine? haha
If it's too good to be true...
Estimates of ad revenues are hard and widely inaccurate.
if you compare estimate from 4 services you would see 10x differences at the low side and 1,000x differences on the high side.
If you have a strategy to get better income than ads, you can probably do well in competing, it's probably worth more to improve a core business part than just imitate and/or just add a feature.
It's tricky to estimate, try using the tool by similarweb , you can Google them.
