Telling the story of Whaticket is a challenge — because for the same company, there were two separate starting points.
On one timeline, there was Cássio: an entrepreneur running a hardware technical support business in Santos, Brazil, struggling to organize customer service as his team grew. The business was going well, and his mind was ready for something new. So he started building software to bring order to the chaos of conversations — what would eventually become Whaticket, in 2020.
On another timeline, brothers Juan Luis and Raúl were working to fuel the startup ecosystem in Lima, Peru. They saw a clear gap: small and medium businesses desperately needed a simple CRM. Marketing experts by trade, they dove into open-source technology — adapting, learning, and selling solutions to companies who needed them most, in 2021.
After some turns and crossroads, these two paths converged around a shared mission: sustain and grow the technology Cássio had built, now with 100+ prospects energized by Juan and Raúl's drive. The team needed structure. Gabriel joined to formalize the business — and Whaticket was officially born in March 2022.
Why we exist
We exist because small businesses deserve the same quality of customer service infrastructure that big companies take for granted.
We were built by people who weren't from big tech — and that turned out to be our greatest advantage. Without legacy thinking, we built something with deep respect for simplicity, clean code, and a design philosophy that goes beyond "good enough." The result: a product that is genuinely stable, accessible, and built for humans.
We come from the open-source world — and we give back to it. We contribute monthly to OpenPledge, our codebase lives publicly on GitHub, and we have a developer dedicated full-time to open-source contribution. We believe in taking only as much as we give.
Why people stay at Whaticket
Because here they find something rare: genuine respect for work-life balance, close relationships between peers and leaders, shared decision-making, and constant communication. We're not a company built on distant, money-mediated relationships. We're a group of people who genuinely care about each other — and about the businesses we serve.
We operate with radical transparency — from casual conversations to the deliberate choice to grow without external investors, making promises we can actually keep, advancing steadily toward what our hands can actually build.
Where we are today
As of April 2026: 4,300 clients. 36 team members. ~$5M ARR.
Not because we chased vanity metrics — but because we stayed true to what we set out to build: something simple, reliable, innovative, and genuinely useful.
That's Whaticket.
