Every Day or Never

I don't know how people have weekends.

This is unique to me, I know. Is it? I'm writing this now to see if anyone else shares this feeling?

Every Single Day

When I'm working on something, I think about it every single day. Without fail. I work on it day and night. Whenever I have energy.

I never understood weekends and felt like 2 days off ripped the momentum out of any project.

I just took 2 complete days off.

Switched focus from the computer to the field. Spending 2 days on a coffee farm. An amazing process and I'm very grateful for the experience.

Was it fun?

No. It was soul building.
It was labor intensive. Not something this Indiehacker is used to.

A farm has no weekends. No concept of weekends.
It felt right to be there. It felt like I found my people.

How many days off?

It feels like it takes me a week to get back into the flow.
How many days off do you take every month?

  1. 1

I am fortunate to love what I am doing so it does not feel like work. Bootstrapping for the last 2 years so yeah no weekends.

  2. 1

Every Sunday I limit my hours to 1.

and the rest of the day?

I take a break. I feel like I deserve it. I'm a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I attend church (virtual now). Then I relax and go on a walk.

It's only one day. I work hard the rest of the week anyway.
