Everyone seems to do better on ProductHunt than me - what am I doing wrong?

Hi indie hackers,

I have a new product hunt launch scheduled for tomorrow midnight PST, but my last launch was rather underwhelming and I'm not sure it'll be any better (despite it being a more general interest product: ceofyi.com vs cashmycondo.com)

Nonetheless, it's free and it didn't take a huge amount of time, so I guess I can't complain.

But I'm curious - what gives? Is it possible to get to the top of ProductHunt without having a large existing following? If you've someone who's done so, please let us know your secrets below :)
