Everyone's building AI résumé tools that fabricate. I bet on the opposite.

Most AI résumé tools do the same thing i.e. hand them a job description and they'll pad your résumé with skills and numbers you never had because that scores well against the ATS. It gets people past the screen and then sets them up to fail since the interview exists to verify exactly the claims the tool invented.

I kept watching qualified people get burned by this, caught in the room on a line they couldn't defend, losing the whole conversation over it. So I built HiredCopilot around one rule and it is: if you can't defend it in the interview, it doesn't belong on your résumé. It tailors to each job using only your real experience and shows you exactly what changed so nothing slips on that you can't back up.

It's a weird bet for this category. The easy growth play is to let the AI exaggerate because exaggerated résumés demo well. I'm betting "you can defend every line of this" beats "this scored 95% on keyword match."
