Hi guys,
Are you using an embedded analytics solution in your project?
Something like Looker, Zoho Analytics ou Sisense ?
If so, which one and why? :)
I'm trying to build a data viz platform to help SMBs improve the performances of their FB ads.
I'd bring my marketing knowledge to focus on the right metrics and surface relevant insights but the embedded analytics solution would obviously be a big part of the value creation.
I started my benchmark and I'll share my learnings after having tested some solutions but I'd love to learn from your experience :)
My choosing criterias in order:
-Ease of set up and maintenance (I'm on my own)
-SSO integration
-Pricing that fits with a indie project (no big upfront cost while you're still trying to validate the concept)
Thanks in advance,
Nicolas
I understand now why there's been no answer: those things aren't designed for indiehackers! aha
Their pricing model hardly works for us: they have high upfront costs but then offer unlimited users. You pay the same if you have 1k users or 100k. Great for big companies, not as much when you're building a MVP to validate your concept.
I asked @Shpigford his opinion by email and here's his kind answer:
"A number of those tools existed when I started Baremetrics (in 2013), but the kicker for most of those tools is they are either incredibly expensive or incredibly cumbersome to set up (or both). So, no...wouldn't use those tools."
These tools must have improved since then because they didn't seem that hard to set up.
To give you a general idea, the white-label solution for embedded analytics cost around:
-2.5k$ implementation cost for Zoho Analytics
-40k$ for Izenda! (I only spent 5mn on the phone with the sales guy 😂)
This is to be expected given that those companies don't offer self-serve solutions and you need to go through a sales rep to get started.
I also had some email exchanges with Looker, which seems like a premium solution, but their reps haven't gotten back to me since I told them about my situation and budget!
(I can't blame them, if they have a good lead-scoring system, they shouldn't spend much time with me ahah)
