Experienced CTO Seeking a potential cofounder with Business/Sales/Marketing background and idea

Hi all!

I come to you with a 10 years of experience as a full-stack developer and CTO, during which I've built and launched numerous startups. I've even dabbled with a few independent indie ventures, which, albeit not successful, were learning experiences.

As of now, I'm freelancing and tinkering with various projects on the side, always on the lookout for the next big idea. From my recent experiences, I've gathered an important insight: true success comes from a holistic approach.

This includes gaining distribution, conducting sales, crafting effective marketing strategies, and truly understanding what the market needs and desires. Admittedly, this is where I find a gap in my skill set.

Which led me to a thought: why not step out of my network bubble and connect with someone who possesses the skills I'm lacking? Perhaps someone with an innovative solution to a persistent problem, who's ready to collaborate on a venture?

While I have an ideal collaborator profile in mind, don't hesitate to reach out even if you don't tick all the boxes:

  • Someone who have already validated idea and have some initial audience/traction to launch for (if not, not a big problem).
  • Someone who's had experience in US/EU startups, particularly in growth and marketing roles, and understands how to take a startup from concept to launch (pre sales, getting initial traction, etc). Alternatively, someone working in a specific industry (like logistics, ecommerce), who can identify industry-specific pain points and propose viable solutions.
  • An individual with a robust understanding of a particular market segment and possibly a few ideas on how to approach it.
  • A resilient, adventurous person who's ready to hustle and experiment to find product-market fit.

Here's what I bring to the table:

  • The ability to swiftly build and launch MVPs, followed by iterations and tests.
  • Extensive experience with startups at various stages.
  • A network of top VC firms to approach once we gain some initial traction (if we think we need that).
  • Unique expertise in the Web3 field and experience with AI (including OpenAI integrations). Although idea does not have to involve these things.
  • A fun, collaborative working vibes :)

I'll be honest—I'm unsure how this post will resonate with the community. But as I currently stand at a crossroads, I've decided it's time to broaden my network. Perhaps I'll find the perfect collaborator right here.

    Hi Lukas,

Just sent you a LinkedIn msg and request. Not sure if you're still looking for the right start up. I'm a non-tech founder seeing a CTO co-founder for a travel super app that combines immersive shoppable TV, itinerary centralisation, rewards and leveraging AI for curation and personalisation. I have a design prototype and now working on building the MVP. Would love to chat if you're interested?

Hi Lukas, would you be interested in participating in an NSF I-Corps program with me? It's a government funded entrepreneurial training program and I am looking for a team member to participate with. I'll send you a connection request on LinkedIn.

Hi Lukas, are you still interested in a validated idea and where's there is an initial audience to launch that solves real pain points?

Just sent you a connection request via LinkedIn. Let me know if you like to jump on a call. Thanks!

Hi @kailu, you sound like the person I'm looking for and I might be the person you're looking for!

Since a bit over a month full time working on a new B2B SaaS start up that is solving a problem that I've encountered at my previous venture. Let's connect on LinkedIn!

    Looking forward,
    Amo

there are none of the cofounders you describe here, everyone are on the "early stage idea" phase but thinks they are on the "need a product to sell urgently"
and the "validation" is more of a "had a chat with few people" or "the market is X billions and I want a piece of it" stage :)
and the ideas are no better, it is all about the "better version of" Facebook, Tweeter, Ebay, Shopify or similarly useless "social" oriented "businesses" and lately is more of the same but with "AI" at the end. There are no actual ideas that can build a business, helps people create value or improve work/life, it is just something that can be pumped up with users and dumped on the first idiot ready to pay 6 figures or more for it.

    but good luck anyway

there are always exceptions, and I will be happy to help you if you have a validated product :)
but you do realize that a "validated" product is paying customers, and a lot of them
Or for business software letter of intent from one or more businesses with a value of at least a few thousand $/month.
