Experienced technical person looking for a marketing or product co-founder

Hey,

This post here is my first, though I'm a long-time reader :)

About me:
I'm a very technical person, currently working at one of the biggest tech corporations with a proven track record.
I have a few years of industry experience, though I have far more unofficial expertise since I have always been interested in software.
I also hold a BSc degree in Computer Science (with honors) from a renowned university.
Technically, I can do most things (including backend, frontend, mobile, and devops), and tech-stack is not a limit (though, given a choice, I will definitely use something that gets things done the quickest to reach customers).
It's also a big surprise to some that I have a broad knowledge and interests (outside of tech) even though I'm very technical. There are no guarantees here, but this might be a nice addition besides tech from my side (meaning that I would not be the tech guy who doesn't care about anything else). That is actually one of the reasons I am interested in starting a business.

What I'm looking for:
I'm very interested in starting a bootstrap business. However, I don't have any specific preferences for a field or an idea, so anything I would find enticing could work.
The ideal partner would be a person with complementary skills like marketing and product.
I am primarily seeking an equal partnership which means I would appreciate a partner with more than just an idea that I should implement. If you have specific knowledge of the niche or you already did some validation (or anything like that), that could be the perfect match.

Regardless of my preferences, if you think we could be a good match, don't hesitate to reach out. At the very least, we would have a friendly chat :)

    Hey @rofex,

First of all, thank you for such a detailed description of yourself, and your preferences.

Secondly, I just might be/have what you were looking for (in case you already haven't found a project to work on).

I'd be on the business/marketing side of things, and have a specific idea to build in the productivity industry (plus the knowledge to follow through).

In case you are interested let's chat, and I'll add more context. Here's my email: [email protected]

    Cheers!

    Hi @rofex,

I’m an experienced corporate strategist (with MBA) with a lot of experience in the corporate world; I’ve got some really specific ideas to solve pain points that I’ve come across in large businesses. I’ve got expertise and capital for a bootstrapped business, but I lack time and technical experience to actually build out a product without spending heavily on freelancers. That doesn’t mean I’m not willing to get my hands dirty and push code, particularly if it’s Svelte / SvelteKit, but that’s probably not the best use of my skills.

DM if you’d like to have a conversation?

    Hi @Rofex,

I have a background in strategy, operations, and B2B sales and have been validating a couple of ideas. I think I have found one that looks like a winner in a growing niche and would love to partner to explore with. Send me a message if you are interested!

    Hi @Rofex

I have a strong background in business and marketing and have been looking for a technical co-founder to start something with. Have some validated ideas in the web3 space and would love to bring one of them to life. I think there is some great potential for partnership here. If interested in talking further, feel free to reach out via email on my profile page or provide a different way to get in touch.

Hey @Rofex, I am currently exploring SaaS ideas for validation and am looking for a tech partner.

I have worked in product management across early stage startups and a unicorn for 5 years in India.

I would like to engage in the business part time (~20 hours/week) until it reaches a certain scale.

Please reach out to me at [email protected] in case you'd wish to chat.

      Hi,
I am mainly interested in focusing on the US/EU market. Have you worked
with customers/products primarily intended for US or EU customers?
Sent you email to understand more details :)

Hey @Rofex, I think we should connect!

I fall into the marketing / sales bucket, and have been considering bootstrapping a few ideas I have.

Similar to you, I'm looking for someone to partner with, but not someone who just focuses on their stuff and not the bigger picture of the business.

At a minimum, i'd love to chat and bounce some ideas around. If you're interested, my email is [email protected]
