Explain your startup/side-project in 10 words or less! 1 year anniversary

It's been 1 year since I stood up a little website for 10words.io based on @Adith's original posts right here on IH.

Since then, entrepreneurs like you have submitted 1,273 startups to be shared on our newsletter, website, [twitter](https://twitter.com/10wo

Btw... I've been following your product since inception and it turned out pretty well. Loved the idle browsing of New Apps. Reminds me of a time when I used StumbleUpon for such contents.

Thanks! In the early days I decided to focus on random discovery like SU instead of categorization/directories.

The best part has been seeing startups that I wouldn't even think to look up, but ended up using because they were so clever.

There's also a chrome extension that shows a new startup in every new tab :)

    Happy 1 year anniversary!

Have you been able to monetize it? If yes, how much are you doing MRR?

    1. 1

Thanks! I have monetized a little via paid placements (i.e. sponsorships of the newsletter/site), but it's non-recurring revenue. Generally around $100/mo, but it ebbs and flows.

It is enough to pay the bills, but since this is kind of a side-side-side-project I don't pursue monetization too much. Not yet at least :)
