Hello, IH
I want your opinion. What if all messages would be accompanied by a flag if it's an original / pattern-based / automated communication?
So, you will always know if a person actually doing things that don't scale.
Both from a customer perspective and business-owner perspective.
I'd like that, from both perspectives.
However, from a business perspective (especially with larger businesses or those trying to appear larger than they actually are) in many cases automated communication mimicking as a an actual human being almost is a dark pattern: It's precisely designed to fool customers into thinking they're talking to a person while actually they're not. This helps larger businesses to deflect costly customer requests.
It's not unlike the often not-so-helpful help pages provided by larger companies (Google for example being a particularly bad offender) that merely stall you and have you run in circles if you have an actual problem that can't be resolved by Googling alone.
So, while I'd very much appreciate that from an ethical point of view I doubt it'd see widespread adoption.
I agree that there is a small chance of widespread adoption of such an idea. However, it's still interesting what others think.
Also, GDPR is a reaction to similar growing frustration. So, one day this might be as well enforced by law.
