Facebook Ad Copy at a Flat Rate Price

Hey everyone!

The other day I came up with an idea, and I'd love to hear your take. Over the past 2-years, I've been running a PPC Agency.

As much as I like writing copy for each campaign, it was too time-consuming to this all by myself.

I decided to hire a copywriter in-house... However, long story short, having such his salary overhead when I was starting was too much for my company to bear.

Recently I started to work with copywriting freelancers, and over time I've found some great ones that have been writing the copy for all my most recent clients' campaign.

The idea I came up with is... Why not offering the same other agencies?

They'll be saving time for their team so that they can focus on other high-value tasks knowing that their copy is handled.

I'd love to hear your advice on this!

P.S. Here you can find the simple page I created this morning https://astrogrowth.com/product/facebook-ad-copy/

I personally like this kind of stuff and could see myself using it to help me see how others might write stuff.

For me it would be a yes, but not for Facebook ads as I'm a Facebook ads (and any kind of ads) refuser.

Sometimes I struggle with new ways of promoting things. Different words. Ideas. etc. So having someone else put some words together without all my bias and with little commitment could be useful.

Hey Rosie, why are you a FB ads refuser?

I noticed this is quite common especially among founders with a technical background and I really struggle to understand why.

There is this misconception that ads don't work and that you should focus exclusively on word of mouth, content marketing and SEO.

On the other hand, if you step outside the SaaS world and enter the eCommerce one (DTC like Casper, Glossier, etc.), it's all about media buying, especially FB & IG ads.

I regularly see people spending $10-50k per day on these platforms with a 2-5x ROAS.

I don't think our market responds well to ads, especially FB ones. LinkedIn they may be a better location, but even that makes me feel icky.

I know I could probably grow, get sales in, raise awareness. It's not work I enjoy. Never wanted to (spend the money to) hire someone to do it. And would rather spend that money elsewhere.

But mostly it comes down to me not liking ads. I hate seeing ads on stuff, so I don't want to become that person or business that relies on ads.

I've always preferred going down the route of creating community. It's been a slower journey, but a much more sustainable one, imho. I'm creating something of value that people actually remember and the money made Now many companies come to us to buy ads from us, or at least they try. :)

I totally understand your point of view. We hate ads because 99% of them suck. But it doesn't have to be this way.

Actually, one of the best way I know to use paid ads is together with content marketing. It's a long term play but it's a win-win for both the advertiser and the user.

Let's say you wrote an amazing blog post. Why wouldn't you want to use paid ads to show this content to new readers potentially interested in joining your community?

I agree with you Andrea. As much as I love SEO (that's how I started out with online marketing) having a profitable paid campaign is just more powerful cause it's easier to scale and less reliant on a platform (Google)

Because it costs money and time :)

Thanks a lot for the feedback! What do you mean with other stuff more precisely? Sales letter copy, product descriptions, blog posts? :)

One thing my company does is sell events/conferences/training. Another thing is online learning platform/videos. Would be nice to get fresh ideas on how to talk/promote/sell about those.

Got it! So what you mean is that you would be more interested more in a consulting or a done for you service?
