How to notedown the many awesome tips, tools, recommendations in the discussions and comments on posts at IH?
There are so many tools and tips being mentioned in the discussions and comments on various posts here. How do people take note of them? Bookmarking? "Liking" a comment or thread doesn't show up under user profile (so no way of referring to your likes later).
Do people do clipping to Evernote or some other approach?
I use Joplin for that:
Very good for my use.
I use rememberthemilk(rtm). I prefer apps that provide date feature. any new tip i would read once and set the due date for the next week. read it again and reschedule for the week after or may be 30 days later and so now until it is engraved in my brain. Bookmarks i save as a task with tags. I also built an app around rtm using its api to make the UI more customized to my needs.
I use google keep. Works for me pretty well.
I use Zenkit to keep track of things that I want to take a look at again in the future. This is the template that I started with… https://zenkit.com/templates/21
You can organise in terms of categories, importance, etc. And, if you want, you can also set reminders or assign dates to tasks and look at them on the calendar view.
I take notes in Word, print them out and pin them on my cork board. I know, highly advanced! For urls I just bookmark them to a folder but often forget about them later. Bookmarking is a huge problem for me that seems to have no easy solutions that I’ve found yet.
I was thinking about the same things these days. I use pocket and Evernote. But not totally happy.
Will try out the apps mentioned here.
For personal use I use Notion.so for note taking.
Currently using Pocket for things to read later, though my list to read has gotten rather long :|
I've used Trello alot in the past too, though am trying to move most things over to Notion so that becomes my brain.
I am also in the process of trying to log relevant things on my personal website.
It's developing the habit that is hard.
