What is a wizard? I don't get it. Can you dumb it down for non-technical founders?
Thanks! I am a non-technical founder myself but struggle to explain the idea in a way that everybody understands. Clearly I did not get this right yet ;)
A wizard is (web)form, enriched with adaptive logic. You can create one and put it on your website, or just share it like a questionnaire. For example to get exactly the right message across.
Think of it as a Typeform form, add the ability to create input, calculations and text processing on top and create output in the form of text, a calculation or a hyperlink.
Example:
I'm a sales guy and I'm looking to attract my ideal customer 'mr CTO of a Fortune 500 company that is unsatisfied with their current ERP system' to sign up for a demo and want to present him exactly what he/she is looking for.
I wrote an extensive piece on the problem of choosing the right ERP system on the company's website. Now I want to filter out my ideal customer and give him exactly the information he is looking for. I add a Wizard to my page.
Question 1: Do you feel your ERP is holding your company's ambitions back? Possible answers: Yes = continue, you see question 2. No = Recommended reading, bla bla bla
Question 2: We might be able to help. We can send you specific literature based on the nature of the problem. What area of your current ERP system do you feel causes this struggle? Possible answers: General, Sales, CRM, Finance, Operations, Integrations with other software, Procedures (too rigid)
Question 3: We totally get your frustration. Integrations and EDI are very important nowadays. What about the integrations with other software is hampering your business? We have created an extensive best practice document on Integrations and EDI per type. What types of integrations do you use? Possible answers: ..., ...
Etc.. You get the point. Based on this input you can send this person 'exactly' what he/she is looking for. This is an almost guaranteed sales hit. Wizardbase allows you to create the above, for any kind of subject.
How would you market/describe Wizardbase?
I understand what a wizard is, but I was asking so that you could dumb it down. Can your company be called something else and the product wizard? Just a thought, sorry I don't mean to complicate this

Hi David,
Thank you for the extensive feedback. I have implemented your suggestions right away and believe they indeed are for the better.
Also, focussing on the sales/marketing lead niche makes a lot of sense. This way it's much easier to create and show examples that resonate with the target audience.
Thanks!
