Family Proud
A care management platform that connects patients and families to a community and resources critical to their care, in a time of need.
Seeking
We’re looking for a skilled full stack software engineer to serve as VP of Engineering and to help us drastically grow our impact on patients and families in need.
Why
Our mission at Family Proud is to ensure no family need goes unmet.
The Family Proud care management platform is an easy to use, secure platform that allows families to communicate to their support network, receive support through our care registry, and communicate with others in similar situations through our peer network. The platform provides a foundation for families to receive support, love and enhance care for their loved one.
We are a service-disabled and minority owned small business that puts families first and is focused on delivering empathy through technology and transforming how we take care of our loved ones.
As a VP of Engineering and full stack engineer, you will take our product from current release to secure and scalable. You’ll be involved in everything from scoping and building features to building data-driven internal tools to support our diverse team. Our product and engineering team is fully remote, so you can be based anywhere. Salary and equity are negotiable.

Hey there. Sounds like an interesting project, and possibly something i could help with. But as you are at zero-to-one stage and looking for someone to come in at the ground, how come you have already determined the stack to be used (React, node, etc)? I assume from that you already have a tech person involved?
Thanks for the message! Yes, we have a deployed beta and are actively supporting families. We are looking for someone more senior to come in and help us grow to the next level. We are all mission-focused so welcome fresh expertise to keep us moving in the right direction.
That’s great that you have a beta up and running and it’s already supporting people. As you can see at www.steveprocter.com I can contribute a very broad range of management and engineering skills, based on 25 years of my own startups.
I assume you are happy with the existing React beta and will build it up. May I ask, who is the existing developer and will they continue to be involved?
What is the best email for follow-up?
