Why I Built Fast3D
Like many of you, I love playing with new AI tools—but most “image‑to‑3D” apps still feel stuck in 2015: clunky onboarding, endless queues, and low‑poly results that break as soon as you zoom in. I wanted the opposite experience:
Zero friction – open the site, drop an image or prompt, done.
Zero wait – a full 3D mesh appears before my coffee finishes brewing.
Zero compromise – models dense enough (400 K polys) for design school critiques.
That’s how Fast3D was born. It’s the first 3D generator that lets anyone create unlimited meshes without even signing up.
⚡ Speed🛂 Friction🎯 Quality8 sec average generation time—even on a free tier.No login needed for unlimited basic models.Up to 400 K polygons + textures on the pro tier.

Go to fast 3d.
Upload an image or type a prompt
Click Generate → A dense mesh appears in ~8 s
Download as .obj or .glb, jump back to Blender/Unity, profit. 🎉
Selfie‑to‑3D → First cartoon‑ify in any free AI tool, then feed that image into Fast3D for a clean stylized mesh.
Ultra mode → Toggle Mesh Density → Ultra for the “wow” wireframe shot.
Free vs. Logged‑in → No‑login users get unlimited basic meshes (un‑textured). Sign in (free) to unlock 60 daily credits for textured, high‑poly output.
Model stack: multi‑view diffusion + in‑house meshing backbone (“FastCore‑X”)
Infra: Next.js + Vercel edge functions + GPU autoscaling (A100)
MVP timeline: 9 weeks (solo dev) → 3 K testers → 28 K models generated
Monetization: free tier drives traffic; paid tier ($12) removes limits + textures.
Onboarding – Is “no‑login” actually increasing trust, or should I funnel users into accounts earlier?
Use‑cases – Besides gaming & 3D printing, where else could lightning‑fast meshes shine?
Growth – Best channels you’ve found for reaching 3D artists & XR devs?
Give it a spin → https://fast3d.io I’d love any feedback, bug reports, or crazy feature ideas in the comments!
(Built with ☕, 🥐, and way too many GPU hours.)
Hey there,
I love what you're building, and as someone who works closely with early-stage founders, I know how tough it is to get those first users and validate fast without burning out.
I put together a Marketing Starter Kit that you might be interested in, it's packed with proven templates, growth frameworks, and playbooks designed specifically for solo or small-team founders to:
✅ Get early traction
✅ Validate ideas faster
✅ Streamline growth (without hiring a full team)
A few founders are already using it to cut weeks off their launch timeline.
If you’re interested, I’d love to send it over to you
This is insanely impressive! Very interesting!
Colour me impressed!
This is insanely cool..
Cool. Something interesting is ahead of us.
