I have been using NameCheap ( https://www.namecheap.com/ ) for years, and they are by far my favorite. Great prices, way less junky ads and upsells that most other registrars, no major issues ever, free WhoIsGuard, and great DNS management in the admin.

yes the cheapest and good i always use it too

+1 for Namecheap. Been with them for over a decade, and they're great in terms of prices and control panel.

Fyi, ICANN has recently allowed .COM price increase, which has been subject of vast debate: https://www.namecheap.com/blog/icann-allows-com-price-increases-gets-more-money/

Yes! +1. Best register out there. I was so happy to move all my domains from horrible UI GoDaddy to them.
If you're looking for local domains (outside ".com", ".net") you can also check local registers. I used some Russian ones for ".ru" domain before. It could be a bit cheaper.

Namecheap is awesome. I first learned about them at a hackathon and I've never used another domain name registrar since.

I used to use namecheap for many years, and then a couple of years ago their interface updated and everything took 30seconds to 1 minute to load. Since then I've moved to https://www.namesilo.com/ and never looked back.

Porkbun. Best prices on the market. The UI is not the best but I always use another DNS server anyway so it doesn't matter.

It seems very good. Its ranked 3rd in this list of cheapest registars https://www.domcomp.com/tld/com
I will try it in my next projects

      • this.

Way better renewal prices and no ads. Was using GoDaddy previously and hated it.

I've been happy with Google Domains for numerous purchases over the last several years.

One thing you might want to consider is that Google has disabled and locked user accounts before without too much advance warning, and with little to no recourse for the end user. I would recommend keeping domains with an independent company that doesn't have a ton of other services.

    2. 1

I wouldn't recommend using any of Google Services unless you really have to. They violate privacy, they can kick you off any time, they don't care about customers, they don't have any support etc. etc.

    3. 1

Just set up with Google, went really fast compared to the update times some other registrars.

  6. 3

I have been using Hover.com for years now.

    1. 1

Nice, I'll have to try them next time. I just went with Google domains two seconds ago lol.

I use both Namecheap and Dynadot. The majority of my domains are registered on Namecheap, but lately, I started moving them to Dynadot. Dynadot offers better prices than Namecheap especially for .io and .com domains.

  8. 2

I register most of my domains at Namesilo. I also use Cloudflare and Namecheap to not keep everything in the same basket.

  9. 2

    Ay,

I use several registrars as Google Domains, AWS, Namecheap, Hetzner, ... I try to mix a little to avoid having all domains "in the same basket".

    1. 2

That's the way to stay ahead of em man! 😎

  10. 2

Been a longtime NameSilo user, no complaints. Will probably move things over to CloudFlare eventually, primarily to "keep everything in one place". NameSilo's always been affordable, offered WHOIS privacy options and bulk rate discounts (I own a fair share of domains ;).

  11. 1

I moved to hover - reasonable prices including builtin privacy.

  12. 1

Dynadot and Cloudflare. Both are great.

  13. 1

Uniregistry.com every time for me. Having dealt with quite a few registries in the past (and even run a reselling website), the professionalism of Uniregistry shines through.
Plus, the website and control panel are actually useful.

edit: A sad day. Godaddy have just acquired Uniregistry, which means that the site will probably turn into a useless clickbait scam mess before too long.

I have used Namecheap for multiple years now - very satisfied. Have used others before and don't intend to go back to them.

  15. 1

NameCheap is quick and easy. We use either them, or the internal Amazon AWS Route53 system for buying new domains.

  16. 1

Https://Gandi.net for new domains then transfer to Cloudflare, they only accept transfers not initial purchases.

  17. 1

Consolidated all my others (google, 1up, dreamhost, namesilo, hostgator, godaddy) to Namecheap.

  18. 1

I used HostGator, then moved to Namecheap.

  19. 1

    Namecheap does the job.

  20. 1

Siteground, purely because I use their hosting. Felt prudent to keep everything under one roof.
