Hi π
I'm Rea. Co-founder and CEO at Toast (https://toast.ninja). I am an engineer, designer, and community leader for Slack Platform in SF. I spend most of my day coding, iterating on design, and talking to users β₯οΈ
My current project is running on NodeJS, with a frontend presented almost solely in Slack. I am a huge advocate for simple UIs, and small products that solve big problems. I love helping people, whether it is unblocking them on a project or building a product (like Toast) that helps reduce their overhead when engineering. I truly believe great products make the difference between an okay day and a fantastic day.
I joined this community to empower other founders, to champion for other indie hackers, and to meet other phenomenal makers. Please say hi! π©π»βπ»

Hi Rea :) Nice to meet you! Toast looks interesting, I'll try to integrate with my Slack community later.
Are you based in SF? I'm a newcomer here but it's a little hard to explore tech & startup community... Do you know any ideas to meet up with startup guys?
Hi Shun! I am indeed based in SF. I've only been here a year myself, but I find the people so welcoming! There's a very bright culture of self-betterment, and so many interesting conversations with chance encounters. :) What types of communities are you interested in joining? I'm pretty active in the Slack Platform community, where there are tons of small teams (like mine) and other indie hackers you can get connected with. I can send you an invite for the next event if that's something that interests you! And I'm super excited for you to integrate Toast. Toast is young and requires dedicated users to point it in the right direction. It's a learning experience for all of us.
Hi @ReaLoretta ! Thanks for your kindness. I want to join some community for Indie Hackers and Startups here! I like networking, meeting, and discussion.
Add me on LinkedIn or Twitter! I can send you events that I think you'll like.
I find out about activities through the platforms I work with. The Slack I am in with other Slack developers has an #events channel. Similar open source communities also have events. There are also some people on Twitter (I'm actually new to Twitter) that post about public gatherings their workplaces host. I am not too familiar with specific indie hackers communities. But there will be indie hackers at my Slack community event, because most people that start Slack apps are bootstrapped just like me. π Hope that helps!
Thanks so much:) I'll check it out soon!
I really appreciate your help!
